Mental mapping. [open] Empty
PostSubject: Mental mapping. [open]   Mental mapping. [open] EmptyTue Sep 14, 2010 5:11 am

It wasn't that Charlotte questioned her ability to find things in a place this large - she just wanted to be sure she could find them when she needed to in the shortest amount of time possible. Especially the important things, like bathrooms and the kitchen. Just in case. You never know when a mental map will come in handy!

That would be why she was wandering through the hallways, stopping every once in a while to peek into a room or look out of a window or study something interesting on the wall, but would eventually just keep moving along. After a while, smaller things stopped catching her eye as much, her pace slowed, and her mind decided to start wandering too.

How many people are supposed to be here, again? It seems a little strange that I haven't run into anyone else yet...

Heracles stretched his arms out, heading for the staircase. It was a nice day out and he didn't want to be stuck inside while the sun was shining. Nice days were meant to be spent outside, having fun or just relaxing. Plus, it was boring inside. His and Francis's kitten Micheal was off exploring the house, Francis was off doing something, and he had no clue where Katyusha was. Therefore, he was going to spend his time outside.

He turned a corner and almost ran into someone, stopping just before he could walk into her. He took a step back, smiling sheepishly and rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry..." He said, shrugging slightly. And this was why he was often told to pay attention to his surroundings rather than his thoughts; incidents like this happened all to often for his liking.

He hadn't seen her around before, he realized as he looked at her. While this could be simply because this was a large house and he didn't often talk to the people here, it was strange to run into someone he was living with that he didn't know the name off. "I'm Heracles Karpusi." He said, holding out his hand.
